What are the benefits of a Facial?

The benefits are:

- Customised Treatment: Addresses your unique skin concerns for optimal results.

-  Comprehensive Care: Includes deep cleansing, exfoliation, extraction, and nourishment.

  • Promotes the regeneration of skin cells by bringing trapped dead skin cells to the surface, enabling them to shed much quicker.

-  Relaxation: Enhances your overall sense of well being with a soothing massage.

-  Professional Guidance: Receive expert advice and a personalised skincare plan for at-home care.

How often should I have a facial?

New skin cells develop and rise to the surface over the course of 28 days. To maintain results and prevent the accumulation of dead cells and pore-clogging debris, I advise my clients that facials should be carried out around once a month.

What is the down time with Microneedling?

There is no down time as such. You may experience redness, tingling and skin irritation within the first 12 hours. You will need to avoid the following for the next 12 hours:

  • Avoid touching the skin, sun exposure, hot showers, saunas, sun beds, sweating and swimming.
  • Avoid fake tan, makeup or perfumed products.
  • Avoid active/exfoliating products for the next 7 days.

Does Microneedling hurt?

Microneedling generally does not hurt, though you may experience mild discomfort depending on your pain tolerance, skin sensitivity, and the depth of the needles used. Many people describe the sensation as a mild prickling or vibrating feeling.

I will prioritise your comfort during our microneedling treatments, ensuring you remain as comfortable as possible throughout the procedure.

How long do the results of microneedling last for?

Besides understanding how the treatment works and the number of sessions required, it's important to note that there is no set time frame for microneedling results. Since your skin is a living tissue that continuously changes, the duration of the treatment's effects depends on several factors, including your age, skin type, the specific concern you're addressing, and your skin’s overall response to the treatment. Based on my experience I can provide some insights into how long you can expect the results to last and what to anticipate from the procedure.

How many treatments of microneedling will I require?

Depending on the condition being treated, the intervals between treatments can range from 2 to 6 weeks. A minimum of 6 treatments is typically recommended. However, this may vary depending on the specific condition and the level of skin damage we aim to reverse.

Will Dermaplaning make my facial hair grow back thicker?

Women have fine vellus hair, which is unpigmented and barely visible, covering most of their body, particularly the face and neck. This hair can trap daily dirt, dead skin cells, and sweat, leading to a dull skin appearance. Consequently, lines and pigmentation become more noticeable, and makeup application may be uneven.

When this hair is removed, it does not grow back differently or stubbly. This is because the removal process also takes off the upper layers of dead skin cells to which the hair is attached, resulting in a completely smooth appearance. The hair will regrow exactly as it was before removal.

This service is not recommended for active and cystic acne, rosacea, extreme skin sensitivities and hyperpigmentation.

How long will the results of dermaplaning last for?

New skin cells develop and rise to the surface over the course of 28 days. To maintain results and prevent the accumulation of dead cells and pore-clogging debris, dermaplaning should be done every three weeks. While you will continue to see improvements after multiple treatments, regular sessions are recommended to sustain the results. Each appointment lasts around 40minutes, making it convenient enough for a lunch break.

What is LED light Therapy?

LED therapy delivers energy in the form of light deep into the body to energize and improve cell activity, kick-starting the rejuvenation process and treating all layers of the skin. This therapy conditions and hydrates the outer cells while boosting the deeper cells, placing the skin into a state of repair. This leads to increased production of collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid. Hydration is also boosted, improving plumpness, reducing fine lines and wrinkles, and brightening the complexion for a fresher look.

LED therapy supports youthful complexions and aids in repairing aging skin by speeding up blood circulation, nourishing the treatment area, and further boosting regeneration. It acts as a ‘first aid kit’ by healing wounds, reducing bruising and swelling, and calming skin disorders such as rosacea, psoriasis, and eczema. This non-invasive treatment is suitable for even the most sensitive skin types, providing anti-inflammatory benefits and strengthening the skin to alleviate symptoms.

Do Chemical Peels Hurt?

BioRePeel is usually a comfortable procedure. While some individuals might feel a slight tingling or mild discomfort during the treatment, these sensations typically fade quickly after the procedure is finished.

What is the downtime after my chemical peel?

Minimal to no peeling is experienced, making it a popular choice among clients. Immediately after the treatment, your skin might feel slightly tight and show some mild redness, but this shouldn't prevent you from continuing your usual routine. A bit of flaking or peeling after a few days is norma, it's your skin shedding the old layers to reveal fresh, new skin underneath.

How often do I need Biorepeel?
